BloodDrag Ocala 2022
Kicking off the car show season for 2022, Florida’s BloodDrag Ocala had no shortage of bagged cars and trucks. While the cooler weather of early February keeps most car enthusiasts tucked in and preparing for spring shows, the car community in Florida braved the chilly temperatures and came together for a great cause.
About The Show
BloodDrag is not your typical car show where enthusiasts simply show up, show out, and get a trophy. This show was created in 1999 after a member of a local mini truck club was hit while riding his motorcycle. Bruce, the motorcycle driver, was going to need multiple surgeries and a lot of blood throughout these surgeries. Thus, the idea of a blood drive car show was born. This show was held in multiple cities all the way up to 2013. After a brief time off from hosting BloodDrag, the creator started the All Custom Season Opener in 2020. With the overwhelming support to bring back the BloodDrag, he tweaked the ACSO into BloodDrag with even more benefits to the community. This year’s show will benefit the Eddy Bear Foundation and any spectator who donated blood or a new, unwrapped stuffed animal will get in free.
BloodDrag Ocala 2022
This year’s BloodDrag car show in Ocala started off pretty chilly and a little cloudier than one would hope for, but that’s what you can expect with Florida’s unpredictable weather. However, this did not stop the die-hard air suspension enthusiasts from showing up for this great cause.
This year’s show was full of great builds from OBS Chevy trucks to newer Audi’s slammed to the ground. A slew of mini trucks built to the nines quickly brought us back to the late 90s and early 2000s, giving us the urge to cruise and drag down the coast.
You could even find a great selection of newer body-style trucks that were aired out and sporting some crazy wheel setups. The old-school rat rods and custom builds were some of the biggest show stoppers of the show, showcasing that Florida sure knows how to build them.
As air suspension enthusiasts and manufacturer’s we here at AccuAir always love being a part of shows like these and what better show to be a part of than one that has a cause as great as BloodDrag. AccuAir was proud to sponsor and attend BloodDrag 2022 and wants to thank Eddy and his crew for such a great show. We really enjoyed attending and getting to see all of these cars and speaking to each of the attendees.
